Txtd a guy on cl about some stuff he claimed to have super high end stuff and nothing but. In reality he had kicker full ranges lower end jbl amps an 8 w7 and w6s. Wants over retail for it all. I asked if he knew about any 18s or 21s for sale. He laughed. Said 21s don't exist and laughed at the name incriminator audio. Then he said he does builds for people. Only for iasca comp cars and the minimum for him to do so is 20k $$$ so I'm like. This guy is stuuupiiiddd. So you know I had to put him in his place lol. He then said he only does sq no spl. I'm like then why bother with building all those iasca only cars for those rich people with no knowledge of audio that go to every event. He then got into how jl is the BEST audio ever made and said some dude running all jl is the undisputed champ of the car audio world. And has been for over 10 years in every aspect. Literally said every aspect. Then he proceeded to say the w6 is the best sq woofer ever. So I was like oh rly? Tc based subs are flea market junk? He says yeah flea market junk never heard of it. And I had to give up. Lol. But has anyone heard of this undefeated jl nuth hugger?

Also. a Kid told me there was no better bang for the buck than a solo x

Don't worry 90% of my friends thought JL and kicker were the best until they heard a SQ build. In many aspects I don't blame them because if you don't research online you don't know much about the smaller more reputable companies. When you go to a local shop JL and kicker have the highest price tags slapped on them so of course people think they are the best.

a friend thought he getting a deal from a shop in tennessee on a 15" w7 and custom box and 1000watt amp for $800 all new. I had to explain to him that won't happen , jl doesn't even make a 15 w7 and the 13w7 cost like $1000. he also said that jl was the best and hit the hardest

Ok, I'll admitt it, I thought RF was the best to own. I searched for three years to find a 25 to life limited edition power 1000 5 channel amp. In the mean time I bought a 08zx700.5 kicker 5 channel. I up graded my battery to a stinger sp69 and bought the RF 1/0 ofc install kit and put the RF in. I had it for 6 months, ran it for 3 months, had 14.0 volts at the amp at full tilt but the sub channel would barely move my old aluminum typs s 12 @2ohm in a sealed box. I bought a sundown sa12d4 just for this amp to thinking it was gonna be bad ***, well it blew up on the way to work. I swapped in the kicker 5 channel and it was night and day difference. I know kicker is not the best and it's only around 500 watts at the sub channel but it out performed the RF in every way. Now I'm searching for a new amp set up.

I'm thinking about going with the new RF T1500.1 bdcp so I can run it at 4 ohm to 2 sundown e12d4's that I bought new. The e12's use the power I have more efficently which I wouldn't have learned about if I didn't read these forums. I was an idiot. I'm really Leary about buying used gear now.

I wish I could afford to upgrade my alt and buy the big gun sundown amps but I can not. I'd like to thank all you guys on here and caco and diyma, without the knowledge I gained from reading your forms I'd still be scratching my head. The RF 5 channel I'm convinced was going out on arrival. The kid that had it before me ran 2 t2 12d4's at 1 ohm for 2 years. I don't know and didn't ask what his electrical set up was because I got to these forums to late, I'd already bought it for $400. Now I have an expensive door stop.

Anyways, thanks guys. I am smarter thanks to you.
