H.U or Amp?

I wasn't sure whether this would go in the Amp section, or H.U section, so I threw it in here.

I'm trying to decide whether to get a new amp, or new H.U.

Long story short...I'm building my first sytem and I've got a 600W RMS Soundstream 12", and a Pioneer GM-X742 amp. Would I be stupid to run that amp with the sub, or should I go ahead and get a new H.U instead of the amp.

Somehow I think I already know the answer to my question but would like some reassurance.

IMO I would go for the HU because your then one step closer to getting the bump you want. If you buy another amp, your closer to having a better sounding system I suppose being the you would have an amp for spks and sub provded you have the AB 4 ch and the Mono. Its def your call but I would go with the HU and you will be happier!
