well, i know it's alot better to run a system off an aftermarket HU, so, i decided i should get one. i don't wanna go splicing and losing my rear speakers or cut into them and loose power to amp, so ill get a HU. but what are they actually good for besides RCA pre-outs? like, how do they produce better sound than stock cd player?

well, stereo companies arent exactly concentrating on making cars go fast, so all their time and energy are put into their components, and electronics...

generally, the lasers are stronger, (it shouldnt skip, and will better read scratched CD's) have more features, better/more accurate tuning options, and look better, lol.
