def bypass the eld first then decide if you need an ho alt.I have mine bypassed on my 08 civic si and its awesome.

I went ahead and ordered this: CIVIC 1.8 2006-2008 HIGH OUTPUT 140 AMP ALTERNATOR - High Amp Performance Output Alternators for Honda

The SI has a bigger alt than the LX, so even with the eld bypassed/unplugged it wouldn't be enough for me.

i have the 220 amp alt from power bastards mines ******* great , i had to make a bracket out of 2-3 pieces of like aluminum , then upgraded to a 2005 nissan sentra alternator bracket fits perfectly on my 2012 honda civic
