Going to be a tough choice ... might spoil myself and walk away with two. Not something I wanted to do, but hey, sometimes you have to treat yourself.

of what u listed...

easily the 952. i absolutely love my 411..never even so much as a smokestack..of course cleanliness is next to godliness..lol

and the 629 pp or classic would be awesome...i love mine!!!!!

yeah, i'm kinda biased...hehe

then the beretta and either taurus..though i don't like the mother of pearl...to me, that is either collector or woman..not really shooter....hogue, now there is a grip!! of course rosewood grips look kewl on the right gun.....

isn't mother of pearl hard to care for, i mean doesn't it tarnish easily?

anyway..all good firearms....

wait....

u need a norinco...or wait a jennings....hehehehaheaha

I feel bad for you for living in a state with such strick gun laws, I know Oklahoma may not have as much to offer as far as the state goes but we do have some pretty gun gun laws along with some other laid back laws.

growing up in colorado..i thought every state allowed open carry..missouri and kentucky do as well...also kentucky has passed concealed cary laws, missouri has too i believe, but i'm not for sure..

also...colorado had a law, i believe they called it the "make my day" law, in which the perp didn't need to be in ur house to shoot them, just on the property and threatening..

i've read lousiana has passed a " shoot ur carjacker" law...i believe it states that if someon attempts to carjack u...shoot them...that would be kewl..

i've lost the link, but i've read that in every state where concealed carry passed. crime has gone down..go figure? maybe one day illinois will at least have an open carry law...

once, just to show how asinine( ) and in the process of talking to me, he noticed my shotgun/case in the back of the car. well, to make a long story short //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/popcorn.gif.32dd9e22fd77e77bc3c907062768fcd2.gif , i didn't have the case zipped up all the way. that almost cost me a trip to jail and a charge of carrying a concealed weapon..go figure?! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif anyway, a bottle of unopened smirinoff's saved the day, as he confiscated it, instead of my shotgun! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

enuff rambling i suppose

Nice choices steve. What is the price differences on those you mentioned? I would personally go with the 96G or PT92. I doubt you would regret purchasing any of them. Have you compared the prices and availability of 9mm, 40smith, and 45acp ammo in your area? Make sure you take that into consideration if you plan on shooting alot.

.45 ACP is around $13 or so for a box of 50.

.40 S&W is around $12 or so for a box of 50.

9mm is around $10 or so for a box of 50.

I got a pretty good deal on some 9mm ammo ... so I have a few thousand bullets here. Big liquidation sale on ammo at a local place that closed down, gotta take advantage of that. It's actually really cheap at a local hardware store.

As for the price differences, they were all in a similar range ... nothing too drastic really.

Well ...
I narrowed it down to the following ... they're all in stock, all felt good, and all fired nice. I cut a few off my list after just trying to grip them. If I can't pick it up and fire, it's not comfortable to me, and I don't want it. Picky, yes, but you know how that goes.

Beretta 96G Elite II - Just liked the way this one felt and shot.

Smith & Wesson 952 - Easiest of the group to fire for me. .

Any input?

- Steve

reading what u said about what ur looking for..and what u said about each one.....

these two should be ur only choices...both would be excellent, reliable, and actually hold a good resale value. again, i lean towards the smith as i have always had great luck with them....

You can legally get a 50 cal. My local shop has a barret 50bmg for sale for like $5000 with a swvarski(sp) scope on it
