Man the S&W Sigma .40's and 9mm are cheap here ($319 bnib).
Does the 9mm **** less than the .40? I hear the .40 kicks a bit.
That's what I was thinking, if someone invades my home, I'm emptying the clip, It would be nice if shots 2-16 are on target. Hollow points take care of penetration issues. The .40 is quite "snappy". Especially in the compact models. With good ammo the 9mm is still a great round. Plenty of power and penetration. Not really a huge difference in performance. The .40's and .357 sig was developed to outperform the 9mm, but then they made better ammo for the 9mm which has significantly improved the performance of the 9mm to make the .357 sig and .40 almost the same. The .357 sig is almost dead because of the improved performance of the 9mm.

I don't want the round to penetrate that's why I said HP, thanks for the brand names on the ammo though.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Hollowpoints reduce penetration. They cause expansion. Solid points have improved penetration over hollow points. I was referring to improved ammo for the 9mm such as Corbon, DoubleTap, GoldenSaber and Ranger XT and a few other high performance types. If your shooting Winchester whitebox or American Eagle ammo then it doesnt matter if it's HP or SP, it's not a good defensive ammo in 9mm.
It's called a magazine, not a clip.
But, yes, on target with a .22 LR beats missing with a .44 mag everytime.

Revolvers can and do jam. If dropped in the mud or sand a revolver is far more likely to jam than a Glock. On an auto a jam can be cleared, by doing a tap/rack. When a revolver jams it's frequently a trip to a gunsmith to fix it.i would stongly recomend a revoler they cant jam. automatics are nice and jaming my never become an issue but autos do jam revolers dont
looking to get a 50cal revoler soon
