Gun people, come inside!

ive got (2) model 23's (1) w/ crimson trace, and a 27, and they are both FAR more reliable then any peice of springfield junk ive ever laid my hands on. Never tried a 1911 style pistol tho, I hear springfields are nice.

$800 was with my surefire light / lazer, And yes i believed the hype and over paid, Instead of believing the owner of the range i frequent and going with a glock at dealer cost. Mainly because i had 3 glocks already, But another one woulda been better then this expensive paper weight. Plus when you have dinner and beer with the reps at the shot show in vegas every year, and have good times with them, it kinda helps.

If you trust your life with one, Then so be it. Im just saying id rather have a butter knife in a gun fight, then an XD.

Your full of shit plus if you paid 800 for an xd your a fool and you deserve the issues you had, you must be a anti xd glock fan boy. For the record i have a glock 36 and 23c and xd45 and xd9 and ruger sr9.
How do you like the SR9? How does it compare to the 23 and XD9? My first handgun was a P89. It did nothing great but buddy it would go bang every damm time you pulled the trigger. That was before I knew how to take care of a handgun and I never had any issues even though I never cleaned it. Kinda miss that gun.

Its a nice gun but there are plenty of problems unfortunately, Do a tad bit of searching the web and im sure you will find some. I prefer it to the 23 but the 23C is a 40S&W and the SR9 is obviously a 9mm, So you cant really compare them.

Still prefer the xd even over the sig220, and the RIA 1911 i had. Over 3600 rounds through the xd without a single issue... Great guns but if you ask a glock guy they get all butt hurt and immediately discredit it.

I replaced my Glock 23 and 26 with a XD9 and a sub compact XD9. Just felt better in my hands and I shoot better with them. I know some people that don't like Glocks just because of their fanboys. I guess it's not that different than car audio.

I like both guns and both are incredibly reliable well constructed guns. Glock guys just cant take the fact that there just might be something on par if not better than there guns.

Show me one, Please.

I may have just got a bad peice of metal, But me nor my range master can figure it out. Ive polished the feed ramp, "broke in" the mag spring, tried different levels of capacity, different mags, Ect.

A state trooper failed his ccw last night with the same problems im having, with his XDm. [Dunno that ill blame it totally on his firearm, But its kinda hard to shoot having to have the range master clear your firearm every 2-3 shots.]

Im not 100% a "Glock fanboy", My favorite pistol of all time is the sig p229 and if i ever find the 9/11 edition again i am gonna jump on it. But at this point, My XD is nothing but a safe queen, And my Glock 27 is by my side day and night. And i will hate my xd either until springfield figures it out, or i get rid of it. And none of your opinions will change mine, Especially by stooping to the level of calling me a "fanboy".

Cocheese, I take all my classes and do most of my shooting in Mcpherson county. My xd is currently out there, but if i ever get it back in town your more then likley to take a peep at it and let me know what you think.

Hmm, a uspsa / ipsc shooter having the same problems im having? Cant be.

i own a kimber stainless target II (1911) .45acp that i would reccomend. (wantin the white grim reaper hogue grips!!!!) a springfield xd-40 tactical i love, a ruger single six .22 long/mag, a smith&wess sigma series 9mm (but dont like the long trigger pull a bit!!) and a walther p22 thats always a nice small concealed IMO... not a taurus fan thou! owned a taurus pt40 (i think was the mod#) compact .40 but would jam up every single clip and a taurus pt22 (firing pin broke on 2ND shot!!!!) dont like either! but aside from taurus' i love my other handguns!!!

i came close to buying the 45. they had both at the store i was at but the 45 was used with some scratches on the side. mine was used but in mint condition. i liked the extra clip capacity too...

they're 155g hydra shocks. the same that most police carry.... cali outlawed them?? weak, they've been proven to kill people really well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
