Gun people, come inside!

yes, ive found my mini14 is an excellent med. range varment rifle.i also know of a simple "thing to do" to make them full auto thats not a permanent mod but requires an adjustable gas block though.

but i wont tell, tis illegal.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Yea its a solid 250yrd gun. Just have to place you shot w/ deer.

I got used to making neck shots and droping them so I didn't have to deal w/ trialing. They just don't bleed w/ the .223

I bet!!!I would love to have a 22lr conversion for my XDm40. Sure would be alot cheaper to shoot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I picked up 1100rds of .40cal and 800rnds of 9mm back in Jan before the prices went nutz.
prices are getting crazy. i reload for my .308's and 270 as well as the 30-30.

i have some nice 130gr spitzer tips for the 30-30 being that its clip fed and they do the job very well.

i dont reload for the hand guns at the moment, its nothing for me to dump 500+rnds at the range in a hand gun but that would take me forever to hand load.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

hell, i go for neck shots with the 270 and 30cals. makes it very quick and never, never have to do any tracking and it dosent waste any meat as well.

my dad hunts with a 35 weeling, damit you know when that thing goes off in the woods and it dosent matter where you hit them, i think the sound alone kills them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I currently own 2 Rugers. A P345 .45 cal, and a P95 9mm. I absolutely love the feel of my 345. I bought it instead of an XD45. I did this because of the feel. It's all in your personal choice. You want a good gun, but at the same time, you want one that's comfortable as well. I have a custom Hogue Handall grip on my 345, which is NOT made for this particular gun. It fits perfectly and feels GREAT. The p95 is for my wife. She picked it out, she loves the feel and all that. (Not to mention, at 10 yds, she has a 3" grouping, not bad for her very 1st time shooting)

I have a Springfield XD 9 in full size and sub compact. I don't have a problem with the

9mm round. In the full size you get 16+1 and in the sub compact you get 13+1. If you can't stop what needs to be stopped with 14 rounds of 9mm you might want to spend some more time on the range. I replaced my glocks with these XD's. Both guns are great these just fit my hand better. Will not go wrong with either.

I have a Kimber 1911, Glock, HK P2000 (duty weapon) and my next pistol will be a XD-they are one of the best for bang and reliable guns on the market. Cant go wrong with a 9mm or .40

I was same way, I had it narrowed down to either the Xd or the M&P 45. I was leaning towards the Xd and went to a range and shot them side by side, ended up liking the M&P better so that's what I went with. Bought a hi cap mag for it too, so I have 15 rounds of 45. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

A good 1911 45 though is usually a gun that everyone will like. Been around forever, obviously, and there's a good reason for that.

I want to get a hand gun. I'm used to shot guns and rifles, but I want a hand gun to keep around.
I want a really good one, what you guys reccomend? Or what do you own?

Also I saw a guy with a black and silver handgun at a range and every time he fired a shot a flame would come out of the top? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Wtf was that about?

I'm looking at one of these:

Wanting something powerful with night sight.

flame coming out the top is from a compensated barrel

reduces muzzle lift

just painted the lettering on the slide silver. i originally wanted to do the HK white and the USP in red but i ended up using what i had laying around.

Nothing wrong with that Sig that you were looking at. I'd add the USP above me, as well as the XD Compacts. Taurus makes a hell of a gun, even if people hate on them. I've yet to shoot a Glock that I like though. They all feel awkward in my hand, dunno.

Sig Sauer P229 DAK 9mm - I like it as it is the most reliable handgun I have ever owned, very comfortable to shoot, and holds 13 rounds in a clip...I'm a bit fan of a handgun that can be fairly easy to carry concealed and has a large round capacity. Sigs are very, very well made and rugged handguns.

If anyone has some opinions on a home defensive shotgun, please let me know. I'm leaning towards a 12 gauge in either Remington, Benelli or Mossburg. I'm looking for something that has an 18" barrel or shorter so it is more maneuverable in confined spaces.
