Not the same, I don't think at least. I believe this is just the RE 8 from last year, not the new sexy *** ones.

for 8's they were pretty **** loud...i only had about 20 min. of playing time with em though...

ok well im gonna get rid of my 2 12inch rockford He2's for 2 of the R8's do u think the performance would be better than the 2 12's? i know thats hard to compare since they are 12's

those he2's would win hands down, u got more cone area, better power handling, and but if u knew what your doing, u can make 2 8"s just as loud. not easy, but its possible

i will i have ~$150 right now to do whatever so im gonna get prolly 4 . and im only 15 so 150 is kinda hard to get but i realy wanna hear some decent subs cuz all im used to is like sony cuz thats all people get around here.

thats what i am wondering. i'd say i would get one for midbass if i didn't have any parents. i'd have a couple new amps by now and about 3 new boxes but what the hell i guess parents are there for something.

i'm in the same boat as you, only i'm 16, and i really don't have any money, BUT since my bday is next week i'm hopeing my rents will get em for me and i plan on using a 4 cu. ft. ported box tuned to 25hz, roughly. oh, and after i pay my dad back $720 for my paintball gun i'm gunna get a jbl 600.1, so that's about 150W per sub. i'm hopeing for a 145 in my small hatchback.

i just got 300$ so yea im gonna at least 2,jon might get 2,theres 4.once ppl hear the subs...well...i go to some little rich *** school so theres gonna be ppl there w/ like some w3's or something and like"oh dude my 12w3 is gonna smoke ur 3 8's".and then i laugh at them when they realize im smarter than them.
