Hey, I was trying to see if you guys could help me find information on the RMS or manly the specs on the GS Designs GS4000 amp...I hear from a few different forums that its a pretty good design for its year and some say it sounds like crap because they never heard of the name. My friend sold me a sealed box and 2 12 in Type Rs with the amp for 275 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif so I think its a deal...I hear the site got closed down and I cant find specs anywhere.....Can you guys help me get some????

Also does anyone know how to screw this amp down??? I cant find any spot to strap it down at....unless those hex key screws on the edges of the amp is suppose to screw it down but i doubt it....

Well I think I found a site with some stats on it but not all the stats. But I was wondering how am i suppose to strap this amp down??? It has no holes in it where I can put screws through so I dont know what to do??? How do you strap a amp down with no screws???? Right now I just have it tied down to my sub box with a scarf lol.

thx...just found the same info on it so this comfirmed the specs....now for my other question....how do I strap this thing down to the sub box???

I couldn't tell from the pics I saw of it. There aren't any fastening points on it? Such as the fasteners that hold the end plates on that you could attach angle brackets to? Or are there cosmetic covers that might be concealing the fastening points?

Heres a pic of my gs4000

Those are some pics of it...same amp as mine...i tried unscrewing those hex screws on the corners and stuff but all that does it takes off the cover....nothing on it from what i can tell to help screw it down.

the amplifier probably had separate mounting feet that bolt to the bottom of the amplifier, then those bolt to whatever you want them to bolt to.

You need about 800 more rms to those subs,
and port them in 4-6 cubes at 30-35.
Right now Im using this amp and my speaker amp only giving the subs around 400RMS and it makes my light dim and they still hit hard so no updating is going to be happening right now. My friend was going to give me his kicker box soon that he had for his 2 12 in cvrs so I was probably gonna put them in that box.

I think you are correct...I seen holes at the bottom of the amp that looked like something attached to it....

So with that being said...since this amp is no longer made and its impossible to find one on the internet...what ways do u pros suggest of strapping this amp down...cuz the scarf aint working lol.

It came with little mounting feet , as alot of API amplifiers back then did , that was an expensive little amp back around 7 - 10 years ago, (if I remember right), too bad Maxxsonics killed the GS redline, even if it was Autotek with a different name plate, I also believe that amps case was stainless steel .

If the holes are on the bottom you can get some aluminum flat stock from HD or Lowes. Lay the flat bar on the bottom of the amp, mark the loc. of the holes. You may want to put it in a vise and put a slight S-bend in each end since the amp mounting hardware will protrude slightly. Drill the other holes for mounting to the rack or box and you're good.
