Ground Wire

Is it OK to wrap the bare ground wire around the bolt thread and tighten the bolt into place? The thread around the bolt I used was too big for any of the connector that came in my amp kit. So I just wrapped the bare wire around the thread the tightened the bolt down nice and tight.

Do you mean when the wire comes dark brown and gets fragile? Because the same thing happened to my speaker wires and the wire cover (Rubber thing that surrounds wire) turned greenish. Maybe because my wires is 8 years old?

OK, since the bolt I used for the ground is big enough to complety hide the bear wiring and it looks fine then what's the problem? Here's what it looks like. And it's going to hidden by a plastic housing that hides both bolts.

No worries, I would NEVER do my amp install getto. But since he kind of threw the word getto that out there I wanted to make sure that everyone knew what I was trying to do.
