I think maybe I'm making this harder than it is but...
Im not understanding how to determine what port length i need, bcuz i dont know what volume to use. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I need the net volume to be 3.2 cubic feet after port displacement/ 3 cubic feet after port AND sub displacement.
Now.... this is where I think I'm screwing up. I am punching 3 cubic feet and the square inches of the slot port i want into the calculators to get how long the port needs to be...is that correct???
But then i dont get it... bcuz after it tells me the length of the port necessary for the tuning frequency im after, its displacement will make the net volume no longer 3 cubic feet.
Or do I punch in the max dimensions that I want the box to be, then punch in the desired square inches of the port and tuning frequency... then when it tells me the vent length necessary, find out the displacement of the vent, subtract it from the gross volume of the max dimensions and see if it is 3.2 cubic feet??
I am confused, and i wouldnt be surprised if someone that knows their stuff reads this post and then gets confused themselves, lol.
But PLEASE help me, thanx:fro:
