Greetings from Texas

Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself before I start plowing through threads for advice!

Im from the central Texas area, and used to be very active in the SQ community (late 90's, early 2000's). Then... life happend. I finished up college, started my career, bought a house, new car, etc etc and my passion for mobile SQ was put on the back burner.

Anyway, things have stabilized, and Im starting to look at the equipment from my last install (currently in a closet) with curiosity - how much has changed in the last 8 years?

Equipment:

Focal Utopia W3 component set

Focal Polyglass 3-way component set

Focal 6WM (6.5" W-cone midrange) x 2

Focal TN 51 tweets x 2

Image Dynamics Max subs (10") x2

Phoenix Gold (Xenon an Titanium) series amps

Pioneer 7400 DVD headunit + 9000 brain

Anyway, I know the gear is old by today's standards, and it has likely seen better days. I will likely repost what Ive got in another thread and see what advice you guys can share about what has changed and whether or not my gear is obsolete these days.

I did spend a year at A&M before going active duty Army. It took a year of ******* at school and realizing that I needed to do some growing up fast to make me go military.

Came back and graduated from Baylor in Waco. Ive seen the world and Ill tell ya' one thing - the rest of the world hasnt got anything on Texas

Looking forward to picking your minds on some things, and hopefully chipping in on what little Im up to speed on
