green light to red?

ok, im haveing problems with my amp. for some reason today I was rideing down the road, and my amp stoped. so i pulled over to take a look at it, and the little green on light was red, and every 5 seconds turn green for like 1 second. what is makeing it do this???? it has been working fine for about 3 weeks, well untill today. i have checked the ground, and all the other wires. some one please help. tks

Sounds like a protection issue.

Was your car increbibly hot today? or perhaps did you accidentally lay some clothing or other what not on top of your amp?

yea check and make sure ur amp stays cool, and also make sure ur subs aint wired to a low impendence that the amp cant handle which would cause it to go into protection

this usually is an over heating issue when i was first starting with car audio it happened to me all the time. abc is right check your sub resistance also the lowest ohm capability of the amp

Mr ampy might put off some pretty smoke if you don't check soon. Also, maybe turn your gains down, it might be going into protection.

i think most of the time if it short circuits b4 it does a fuse would blow..

actually fuses can blow because of short circuits so obviously the fuse would blow after the short sircuit.... but often times it just gos into protect, mine does.
