how well does the expanding foam (only brand i know is called great stuff) work for sealing around the seams inside a box?

Not your best option. But if you already have some, it's great for filling gaps where deadener won't fit well.

i like to used wood glue mixed with saw dust, if not resin, for sealing the seams inside a box. it get rock hard, less chemical fumes that have the potential to harm the sub, and doesn't take up as much displacement. PL200 work well too.

i was just curious, i saw it and realized what it could be used for the thought never really thought about it

i was planing on making a ported box fairly soon so the thoughts have been running though my head about that kinda stuff

wood glue and silicone should be enough as long as your cuts are nice and straight

that shit is a pain to use as it is messy. just use silicone

its good to weigh your trunk lid down or something, i used it in the hatch of my car and i think it got a little louder

i tried the expanding glue, gorilla glue, once when making a sealed box, and its real messy. i wouldn't recommend it. just use silicone.

off topic, but angryeric how do those atlas as12s sound? i was thinking about getting some of those or some of the hifonics square subs.
