My dad has 3 sisters and 2 brothers... but I doubt they'll get much, if anything. Most of the money is going to her husband's kids... since they're UBAR JEW

Invest in gold. With the way the dollar has been going and the rate banks are messing up, I wouldn't trust much else. At least you know gold will always appreciate.

5 year cd ftmfw, crappy economy thats probably the best bet, although you could toy with a cd with a shorter term and maybe invest it in an improving market after the bailout plans in a couple years

I'd like to retract my statement.

I'd probably chose to ladder the CDs. If you don't know what that is, I can explain.

But basically, you would split up the $$ to buy 3 or 4 CDs.

1 3 mo

1 6 mo

1 1 year

This way, if short term interest rates rise quickly to combat inflation (and they will), you can take advantage of it. When each CD matures, roll it over at current market rates.
