Grand Marquis speaker removal

I drive an '08 Grand Marquis and I'm wondering how to remove the stock rear speakers. The whole back is pretty much a giant carpet piece but I don't see a good way to pull it out. I definitely don't want to ruin anything by jumping into it. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Another thing, are the front doors pretty easy to pull off? Someone told me it's just a few screws and it comes right off.

My plans are to remove the rear speakers and add a component set up front.

That is what I was thinking too. I tried searching through google for some guides on how to remove the seats but didn't come up with anything.

Where are the screws to remove the back seats? I was just down at my car looking at it again and didn't really see anyway the seats come out. I know they do, I just don't see it yet.

yup you gotta pull the back seat, start with the bottom part and push it in on both ends where the seat meets the floor of your car. There are big metal clips under the seat that hold it in place. If you push the very bottom in (twards the trunk) you can lift it out of place. Then there are bolts that were hidden by the bottom part of the seat, unbolt those that hold the back part of the seat on and it will lift up and come out.

When your in there you may want to consider cutting off that black rubber/beige foam mat between the seat and the trunk. It makes a sub much louder to the ear.

Yup I'm definitely going to pull out that material. I want to get as much air into the cabin as I can. Right now everything feels so trapped in the trunk.

If Christmas goes well I'll have a new component set & deadening up front. Not sure I'll have quite all the money for deadening too so I'll probably hold off until I do.
