Grand AM - Infinity 1050 - Sony Head

Hey Guys,

I know almost nothing about car audio. Very new in this area.

For christmas I ended up getting an Infinity Reference 1050 bass speaker, and a Sony CDX-GT220 CD deck. I drive a 2001 Grand AM GT and would like to get this installed.

I am curious if these pieces of hardware are any good, an also what kind of AMP should I be looking to buy to go along with these?

The deck will be decent... I have a Sony... deck... (510) and it gets the job done.... IF it has aux outputs... That is if you ever plan on adding subs, or to amp your speakers.

Also the Infinity speakers have super sharp highs.

Oh I made the post wrong, lol. The Infinity "bass" actually means a subwoofer. sorry for my newbieness.

Yeah I plan on buying an amp and installing the sub in the trunk. Just wondering what kind of amps you guys recommend for this setup?

thoughts on the hardware in general?
