The radar isn't the x50. Its just an earlier model of the x50. It still outperforms all these lower brands, such as cobra, whistler or anything like that. Its a higher end radar. Buy it now, and I'll take off another $10.

The garmin is sold to makdaddy.

The 8500 vs the x50, mainly just tuning. They tried to improve the range, etc. The 8500 has saved me numerous of times.
