GPS Map

Just got a Magellan Explorist 500 GPS to use on 4wheelin and boating trips.

Are there any online sources where I can get maps for free? I checked limewire with no luck. Still trying to figure out exactly how it works and all but I do know there's no way I'm paying 100-$200 per map.

Stock one works ok but it'd be nice to have more detail.
