Speaking of that, I just got a call from my accountant requesting my total for the stimulous check I recieved last year. That is taxable income this year guys, when they told us to begin with it wouldn't be.

If stimulous checks role out again, fvck that, I'm not taking it.

That was a tax rebate, should not be counted as 2007 income. I'd like to see documentation of this

Documentation of what? The fact that you have to claim your stimulus check amount?

I just called them again, and they didn't say that it is claimed as income, but you DO have to tell them how much you got.

My accountant doesn't know if it will affect your return or not.

It's not counted as income, and the verification does make sense, but they already know how much you got because they're the ones that gave it to you to begin with. The only stipulation would be the "qualifying income" of at least $3,000 as part of being eligble to receive the check.

They say it won't effect your return, but who knows...

But my accountant is just fine and 90% of the time, I'm right with my information and assumptions.
