xmax is >30 close to 32-34 i think.

Ok, so its nowhere near the 54mm of the new design.

Xmax is right around 32mm, it's what the 12spoke basket is limited to on rearward clearance.

It's not close to the new XXX in terms of xmax, but the new xxx is about 4 inches taller than it as well, and has a one off style basket, it has loads more clearance than the older ones, it's really a completely different monster.

This is true. The new XXX's are a completely different, uneccesary design that cost far too much.. lol

the box was originally built and used by a 12 SSD. The SSD mounting depth is 6.5, the XXX depth is 8".

The brace is 9.75" round cut out. XXX Motor 8.5 diameter.

I guess what I'll end up doing is putting another piece of mdf on the face and making it a double baffle.

They are cool looking, but I think the motor is a little weird looking with that huge *** conical top plate.

Ive long considered the original XXX to be one of the best looking moofers ever made. Especially in person, pics dont do them justice.
