Got the bike outta storage today

Well i do not like the fact that it says 883 on the tank. Maybe i will just change to sticker, to a 1200 one. I also bought drag bars and will be making that change in the near future.
My buell has a bigger motor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

The drag bars will be a great upgrade in looks. Don't do the 1200 sticker on an 883 though. I say strip any stickers at all and just leave the tank clean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

drag bars look mean... just uncomfy for long hauls.
I've got drag bars on my current bike, had them on past bikes as well and they are super comfy aslong as you get enough pull back on them. I've gone 400 miles with em in a day and while my butt was tired my upper body was fine.

ah, i figure with forward controls and drag bars the riding posture just looks uncomfy for anything other than a track sprint. maybe i'm confusing drag bars with cafe style clip on bars?

drag bars like broomsticks would be uncomfortable for sure, basically no pullback, just a straight bar. They look awesome though.

drag bars with some rise and pullback like mine don't look anywhere near as good as broomsticks, but are wayyy more comfy:

okay, understand that now, i guess the other extreme are those mega ape hangers...

back to the original post, i guess nothing we advise should matter, since a bike should be as personal as a toothbrush -- build it to suit you before anyone else. stock is good enough for me at the moment, but my bike is only two weeks old

sportster lol...hd in general lol
It was bought for me, and i feel fortunate just to own a motorcycle.

its a 1200 though...........I may just remove all the stickers and keep it plain and simple.

I only drive around the neighborhood no more then 30~ miles a day. The bike has the HD 1200 kit on it, thus my motor > your buell motor.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Awesome, guessin that thing scoots pretty good then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I still say take off any decals (hopefully the 883 isn't painted on) and just leave the tank clean, that'd look good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

i gotta say im definitely not a harley guy but its great that you ride

u calling a sportster a streetbike...not so much

and people who arent ******* can ride a sportbike all day long

i did a 600 mile trip around a long twisty highway.

i love when guys on cruisers try to tell the sportbike guys that they cant ride makes my day.

ive ridden over 100k on sportbikes in the last 3 years and i live in seattle where it rains all the time and half the year its around 40 degrees

glad to see you got it out but i never put mine away unless its snowing or icy

my normal ride is 100miles of twisties...

i never called my bike a sportbike. I used to own a sport bike, but i had issues

with it and moved on. I can drive a bunch of miles, but i also drive a convertible

car and split my time evenly. NONE of my friends ride also with sucks, as i am sure

you know. I wish you were from chicago, i would have company on a nice day!.

Be safe bro.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
