Got scammed on my 15" Brahma, will XXX work?

So it looks like my 15" mkII Brahma isn't coming. I have everything wired up and ready to go, just need to pop the sub in. I'm almost glad it didn't come because I've been reading a lot lately and it seems that RE's customer support is more reliable and that the sound of the XXX will be more to my liking then the Brahma's. Anyway's my question is this: I allready built a box for the Brahma to Adire's specs. It's a 4 cube ported box tuned to 30hz. How will this work with a 15" XXX? Anyone running something close to that or will I have to build a new box?

i wouldnt say re has any better cs than adire. Also with all these price increases being talked about...I could see recones jumping in price as well. If something were to happen to it that is.

i had a 4 cubed box tuned to 35 hertz. It sounded great.

4 cubes and 30hz is great for a XXX. Especially if you like the low end LOUD. I like the upper frequencies louder than the XXX. It is a low end MONSTER, the upper frequencies are still pretty **** loud, but not like the lows. If that's what you like you will LOVE it. If you want to buy mine check out my FS thread. Wow thanks for the quick replies! I like this forum a lot better then soundomain. Anyways I would definitly be getting the 05 model, the 06 prices are ****ing retarted IMO. Definitly glad to hear my box will work and that's exaclty what I like, the lows just booming and shaking the shit out of everything. I'm not as much into the perfect SQ or anything.

BTW, just something I've never really read about too much and maybe I'm retarted but have never found a comparison with the search, but what exactly is the difference between the XXX and the MT? Does one sub excel at SQ while the other is just for SPL or what?

Yes the XXX has much better SQ but gets loud doing it. The MT is built for straight SPL.

Looks like I'll be goin with RE. I don't really trust Adire I've heard too many horror stories about their customer service. I just need to figure out if I will be goin with the MT or the XXX.... So if someone could chime in about the questions I posted above that would really help. Thanks.

The MT needs at least 2k watts to work to anywhere near its potential from what I hear... The lows on it are not very good. Again it's an spl sub, its gonna be louder a little higher to score well...
