You cannot make this stuff up...
This time I was with my friend who just bought a new 07 GTI. We were honestly screwing around in it, but making sure there were no other cars around incase we did something more stupid.
But all we were going to do was take this one an-ramp we love to take to see how fast we can take it without, well, loosing it/traction.
No cars in sight, we take the onramp at about 60mph, gas it a bit to 65 and the car starts to get understeer (Traction control off) so he taps the brakes a bit and gets the front to grip and the rear end to break loose, then regain control.
RIGHT after we gain control, we notice a car is tailing are *** hard. I'm like "WTF man?" and I look back to see a white Dodge Charger. A Charger with a grill guard and lights all around it... ****.
My friend asks "Is that a new Cop Charger?" And I responded with a yes...
So we watch out to see what he does and he continues to ride our rear bumper hard. We then take the next offramp which loops back to where we came from (home.) We look behind us and he is not behind us anymore.
We look at each other and go "Seriously?!" What luck is that.
What comes next is seriously out of Supertroopers....
We are back on the highway going 60mph flat, then all of a sudden the same cop pulls off another offramp and ends up RIGHT next to us... we are beginning to get really confused. He then just floors the Charger and pulls ahead of us and continues on.
Then a long water bridge which leads to out home area is about to come up, and we see his car pulled onto the shoulder like he started to speed trap people. So we pass him again.
Then 3/4ths finished going over the bridge we see his freaking car pull up a car length behind us again. He just sits there trailing us... until we get over the bridge. He then slams his brakes, goes into our lane behind us, and pulls us over. This is about 10 minutes after we actually went on the onramp.
We pull over once we get off the bridge, and he walks up to us. First thing I notice is that he is 25 years old at LEAST. Youngest looking officer I have ever seen. He comes up to the passenger side window since we are still on the highway shoulder (which is my side) and the first thing he says is "So looks like you were taking that turn pretty fast huh?"
My friend: "Yeah... sorry."
Cop: "What brings you out here?"
MF "I just bought this car a week ago, and we were just going for a drive and are heading back home now"
Cop "I'm sure you are... after racing your new car around like that on public roads... License and insurance?
We hand him the license and insurance and he walks back to his car... and doesnt even seem to check anything as he literally comes back to our car 20 seconds later.
He walks back up
Cop "I should be writing you a large ticket for doing stuff like that on public roads... but I have a feeling you're going to crash your brand new car within two weeks, so I think that will be a greater lesson in the end, yes?"
This caught both me and my friend off guard so we stay silent
Cop "I mean, really, if you're going to do that crap, you better at least do it right. Your angle of attack was WAY too low, and you braked in the middle of the turn... I mean that was a terrible turn, you need to take driving lessons or something. Really. A Ford Taurus could take that turn better than you. My Grandma could drive better than that. Actually, I could do better with my bicycle."
He then just looks at our reactions (I'm personally cracking up but trying to look straight ahead) and hands back my friends license and leaves back to his car.
We then pull back onto the highway and he does the same, but he pulls into the left lane and floors his car (peeling out) by us, cuts into out lane, and takes the offramp in front of us. and that was it.
This may sound immature, but this seriously sounds like it came out of a comedy just like SuperTroopers. I've never been screwed with has badly or had such a cool cop pull me or any of my friends over that was like this.
I didn't know this stuff happened, but it looks like it can. Consider my friend extremely lucky.
