got my w7 today:)

Well I finally got my 10" w7 hooked up to my 500/1. So far it gets crazy ass excurtion, and loud as hell, but what I dont like is how it does not get deep.. I lknow it is a 10 and if I want deepness I should of got a 12 or 15, but I guess its cool. Also will dyno matt stop ratteling??? Lke the top of my trunk??

yeah never heard a 10w7...I suppose it might get a bit deeper if you ported it. Yes to the deadening. Look at secondskin or edead. Much better deals than dynomat.

how much RMS do you have going to it? I dont think I would ever buy JL products because they seem like a ripp off when you could get more powerful for cheaper. Like a Orion H2 or something. They talk about how it has the best SQ and stuff but thats not really going to matter in a trunk when all your going to here and feel is not the bass.

When I first said it is not that deep, I found after listening to it for a while, I like it. I like it ALOT! I have a pontiac grand am 2000 2 door, and when I put the windows down, and sit in front of my house, from inside my house the windows shake! Know joke! I could hear the bass very well from inside the house. I am very pleased with jl audio, and got more then i expected.

me and my friend do this but for a 100% diffrent reason,so taht we enjoy the music more.

for some odd reason when the windows are up you dont hear **** but when they are down it gets like 5 times as loud.

im thinking this is because it is in such a small space(96 ford ranger single cab).

but doing it to just show off is a no-no.

also good changwe from the rfl to the dub 7,glad you like it altho i would get a couple dif subs for the money.

I don't think it was directed at you or had anything to do with trust at all for that matter.

I think he's just interested in finding out who all has W7's on the board to compare stories, box sizes, problems, whatever with.

my system actually sounds better with the windows cracked, but you will never find me in a neighborhood with my stuff turned up even the slightest bit loud. i think it is annoying. when i get out in the country or in commercial areas, that is when the windows go down a little and the music goes up.
