Back in NC cops nor troopers will bother you just for tint, even if you've been pulled for a traffic violation. But if you act like a douche or running your mouth they will cite you & make you either strip it on site or have it towed. If you're nice they're nice, act like a **** they'll act like a ****. Fair enough, IMO.

Here lately the TX DOT have been pulling people over just for their tint. There is a lot of oil field company trucks and they just sit at state line a pull them over for it. It is easy revenue. Alot of the guys spend 12+ hours a day in their trucks. Alot of it sitting/sleeping. The dark tint helps alot when you are trying to sleep in sleep in the mid of the day when it's 115 degrees. I put a tint ticket in the same catagory as a seat belt ticket. The cop is just trying to steal money from a working man. Its a victimless crime.

If somebody is getting lippy and antagonizes a cop, they get what they get.
