Got my first tickets..by a douche highway patrol

So I am on my way back to my house from my parent's and the speed limit is 65. The thing is, noone goes it. The majority of the people go 70, and several venture on up a good bit further. Almost every time I make this 70 mile drive I get behind someone going 75-80mph. That was the case today. I was the last vehicle in a line of 3, but I was also going the slowest. Had the cruise set on 79 and the vehicles in front of me were gaining. Next thing I know I see blue lights. Great.

Pulls me over, informs me my inspection sticker ran out yesterday, and asked if I had ever gotten a ticket before. I responded No, which is true. He said "Well looks as if you just got your first two!"

I tried getting an inspection sticker the other day but they wouldn't let me because of a crack in my windshield. It ran out in December. Its out 2 days and the douche gives me a ticket. On top of that, the two people I was following were going a good 2-3 mph faster than me.

Oh well.

I think I can go to driving school and get the speeding taking care of.

Anyone have an idea how much an expired inspection ticket sticker costs?

In TX you have 10 days into the following month before its expired.

hmm dunno bout the expired inspection shoulda just paid the fee for inspection anyways and have them fail you... then you got 14 days approx. to fix the problem and get re inspected although it depends on the state. the fine is also state dependent i got one in jersey a few years back and iirc it was $150 .

When your inspection sticker expired and you went and got it done and they did not pass you didn't they give you a 15 or 20 day 'extension' to get it taken care of? Wow cop sounds like a real dick and I got an inspection sticker when I was 17 and I was like $100 bucks but the worst part was I got 2 'points' on my record and it ****ed my insurance rates all up for like 5 years (I think I paid like $40/mo more in the beginning)
