Got my Electric Bill in....

That was many years ago when I was single and I pretty much wasn't ever home. The only thing that ran regularly was my fridge & air.

If you were running you are constantly, then I deffintley don't see how it was 30 dollars a month. That is one of the bigger power hogs in your apartment/house.

I mean if it was, then kudos, just don't see how.

it doesn't cost more unless you let the temp get insane. best bet is to set it at 70 and use a model that has energy saver(window units) that shuts down the entire unit when the compressor is not working.

I'd die for a $50 eletric bill.

you are wrong. it does cost more to cool your house down than to keep it at a certain temperature. lets not forget i used to work for the electric company. we recomended to keep it as warm as you possibly can stand and to get a ceiling fan or a regular fan. they can make it feel up to 10 degree's cheaper. we recomended a temp setting of 75-78 when you were not home. feel free to check info out online

Window AC's or 2 regular AC's internally ran through out the house?

With the pool pump and it being over 95 for a good 8 weeks, our last bill was over $400.

when i lived with my parents it was around $500 month. 5k sqft house with 4 ac units and a pool

I don't pay the electric bill were I stay. But we keep the a/c at around 74 in a 2-story with a pool pump that runs all day. Plus about 8 ceiling fans. Almost 600 bucks

I keep mine at 78 during the day, 75 at night so I can fall asleep without feeling warm.

72 is frigid!

Oh, and I have a 2/2 apartment, and haven't payed more than 100...been there a full year. In the spring and fall we barely see a bill over $40.

Yea I forgot about our pool pump. That sucker uses alot of juice too.

Get a 2 speed motor put on the pump.

ours was a little under $200 this month, during July, August and September it gets well over $300. Expensive to cool the house when its 115 outside.
