Bullshit. I doubt your moped can do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. I'd question as to whether or not it would do 60mph at all.

These are great starter bikes as long as you aren't really big.

Yea I might get a 600 eventually. But I just want to get a feel for riding and doing it safely before I up my engine size. I could really care less what everyone on here feels about it, just wanted to share as I know some would be interested. I bet 99% of these guys commenting have never even ridden a 250.

Just got my first bike also, took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Riders Safety Course (free in IL) and I would highly recommend taking one. Especially since cause I took it I got my M endorsement.

Anyways instead of new and less cc's like OP I went older

Its a good starter bike. You will out grow in in a few months im sure. I started on a Suzuki SV650 which i thought was perfect. I also took the MSF course which i recommend if you are a first time rider. Will also lower your insurance bill.

Yea just finished taking the MSF (which was $200 in FL). Also just finished getting all my gear which was expensive as shiiit. Yea but Im happy with my purchase.

Its like someone buying a 4 cylinder car and you being like wow my grandma drives one of those. Obviously didnt get it to go fast, got it for efficiency and transportation. People just wanna front being a badass dissing because I got a bike that doesnt go 170mph??? I would never need/want to go that fast.

A 250 is fine to learn on. Im a bigger guy so 600 is better for me. Nut everyone is different. Still a nice looking bike.

Dont listen to all the haters. Seems like CA is full of em. Everyone must need a 1000+ CC bike

Here she is, 2001 Ninja EX250 8k miles. $1400 so I thought it was a good deal. Perfect condition except have to replace hand bar on right side. It was bent from previous owners wife dropping. Muzzy exhaust and the side view mirrors were just taken off temporarily.

Oh so you own that bike. I saw it in VJ's garage, good buy man. VJ told you he busted his *** on it, right?
