got my 1508's in

well i installed my pair of dd 1508's i got from SPY today..

i threw em in a 2.8 cubed box tuned to about 40 hz w/ an aero port.

the box was originally for 2 8" eclipse subs..

but i have em on a planet audio big bang 1350.1 at 2 ohms giving ea sub about 400-500 rms..

(amp is rated at 900 rms at 2 ohms on a 13v, im at 13.8 all the time)

so they sounded pretty good, iwas expecting a little bit more, but maybe the box is tuned to high and is too big..

hits lows like sh!t IMO.. but then again, prolly the box, but does move a TON of air on the song air forces.. lol

one thing, i put a hole in the surround, a tiny one, but what should i do to fix that?

box is like .8 to big, but the tuning is right. use super glue or CA glue or silicon glue for the hole.

yeah for some reason, in that box the lows went what i expected..

and ik, iwant one more sooo bad and i want that bix, it would sound nucking futs..

yea i figured it was too big, but yeah, so right now i can only listen to like air foces and shit..

your box is almost big enough for 4 ....1508's

a bit more power in th future wouldnt hurt either. i was considering three 1508's in my current setup, but went with a pair of 2510's. i am extremely happy with the output and overall SQ. box and tuning is perfect. 2200 watts.
