got fired from my job yesterday___opinions?

I look at it as a blessing. now I can devote more time and energy in to Second Skin

let me know what you think abou this:

I was working as a door captain at a 5 star resort. I was the supervisor to the bellmen and valet.

hourly wage is $3.50

so we rely on our tips to make up the difference.

usually end up with ....$15-30 per hour depending on the season and conventions ion house.

sometimes we get ...strange tips. t-shirts, beer, food, ****** propositions etc...

beer is a very common one. guys come off the gold coarse and have extrea beer they kick it down to the bellman.

so one guy got a 10 beers out of a case for a tip.

he accepted and left it in the bell closet until the end of his shift.

Thats when I showed up. I was getting on, he was getting off. he asked if I could grab the beer from the closet when while he spun his truck around.

I did, and loaded it up in his truck. nothing new. nothing unusual.

accpet it was seen on the video tape of the front drive way by the security team and they reported it to HR.

so when I was asked about it I told the truth. After all,what was there to hide? nothing at all.

So then they fired me for theft.

I asked; who was I stealing from? who is missing the item? who is accusing me of theft.

Thier reasoning was that they have a liquors license, so guests are not allowed to bring alcohal on property. if they do, it is considered property of the resort.

I was fired for theft of company policy.

even though it was a gift from a guest, a tip, and no one was complaining, no harm was done. and no body even cared. they made a big deal out of it.

I dont even drink beer! all I did was carry it to his car.

I am a recovering drug addict with over 5 years of clean time behind me!

anyways. thats why I was fired.

Honestly.......you will probably be better off in the long run. If you run and manage your business endeavors correctly, you can rely on your own salary, rather than having to depend on how generous other people are feeling.

But if you need the job in the meantime to pay your bills or what have you......either pull out the Classifieds section, or try and track down the person who tipped the beer and see if you can get the mess all sorted out.

Man that is a bunch of BULL CRAP i feel your pain, one of my parents offices is going under ownership changes so it's a little scarey, im sorry to hear that man...Second skin is good stuff tho, if you can get the word out im sure it will take off....

Get a lawyer, or at least some kind of legal advice. And dont forget about drawing unemployment. What about the other guy who's beer you were carring out for? what happened to him?

Do you have a website for second skin? If not you should try and get one going. You could try and get in with stereo integrity and when that takes off (more so then it already has) you would be right there to have the fix for the mass rattle the magnum is gonna make.

Yea Man, but when I tried using it I kept getting that site down bs or page unavialble like I got from this site like 4 days ago when everything was getting changed around. My bad though it works now and its GREAT. When I get done with my basic training and tech school for the air force I will be sure to get some second skin everything and do my floor board, doors, hood, and rear door (jeep) with this stuff.

I agree with contacting the guy and ask him if he can help assist the situation. if that doesnt work id get lawyers involved. Then sue for lost wages then take unemployment on them.

I am not gonna worry about unemployment.

1. I dont belive in using the system to my advantage when I can take advantage of my own skills and abilities to get better results thatn the system can provide.

2. unemployemnt only pays like 40% of actual wage. my wage was $3.50 per hour. they dont care about how much tips I made.

Don’t worry about a thing bro u & your family will be just fine. From what I hear second skins is real good stuff. If u make the right business decisions there is nothing stopping u from becoming a real rich dude real fast , who know some day u might be able to buy the resort and fire everybody’s a$$ . Hey u over came drugs which is way harder to do then getting a new job.
