i hate to say it.. but the kicker xpls will do their Max on a daily bases.. i have 4 12 xpls 8 ohms.. and it say their max is only 500.. and im pushin 2000 watts toall 4 as a daily driver..the only problem i have w/ these subs is their x max.. that will be the reason i blow thses subs.. my subs r bottoming out..but till they do blow.. more power to them

Goodluck with that im thinking about moving to audio bahns or a diff kicker comp I need more power I need to get the most outta my amp i didnt buy a 500 $ amp for nothing

So much dissing of the vans. All my friends thinks it stupid to put a system in a van. Vans are great for a system with all the room they got. Sure my system isn't the loudest by far but it was just a test system to see if I could istall it myself. This summer I plan to move on to bigger things. However I use plenty of sound dampener so you really can't even hear my car when I pass by. So it might be funny but when I pull up this summer with a system that makes people in cars ten times better then mine turn their heads, ain't nobody going to diss my van.

My Van was a piece of junk when I got it but now it is something that I could be proud of. I not knocking anyone in particular, but vans are cars too.

Got a link to that amp? I've never heard of a 2400 RMS power acoustik amp either. I'd be very interested in seeing that.

EDIT: And class "D" doesn't mean that because it says 2400 WATTS that it's 2400 RMS. Class D is just an efficient amp.

I believe I explained this over 5 times now in other threats so, its not your fault but im part of "Music Masters" which is one of many dealers of the product "Fusion" and we hooked this program up to a computer which told the Hz, DB, and RMS and many other features thats how I know its 2400 RMS, ill try to find a link of the Model

Many also may be confused its 1ohm with 1-2 channels at 2400rms 2-4 is 2ohm at a different RMS

I hope that cleared it up

i had a kicker xpl running off my jbl 600.1 at 4ohms so it was seeing a good 350rms i'd say. and it never faultered at all. i'd say it would have handled quite a bit more. (sounded like a$$ though.

so reading u man... last experience I had in that line was a guy bugging me to listen to his 2400 watts marquant installation, he had like 8 amps on 4 subs, the subs claimed to be 600 or 800 watts (rms or max not named but my guess was around maybe 20 till 40 watts rms) and the amps where 600w max each...

It was not only annoying because I seemed to fail in explaining the guy that it not only looked like **** but that a default radio of maybe 400 $ with a 8 or 10 " jbl sub would kick his ass badly.... After that remark he actually started comparing sound quality and decibels and came to the conclusion my system was crap and i payed to much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Luckily my vendor heart it and i was up for the db measurement where i got a bit above 130, my vendor invited the marquanter to be measured... he didnt even came in the range of hearing disorder... a nice clean 92.6 DB´s

Everything was powered with 15 year old speaker cables.... The last remark of the guy:
