Got a $113 speeding ticket today

Ever think that's just some BS the government feeds you to keep the population from speeding?

Things like tint and noise violations are usually just a way for the government to make money. Very rarely does anything negative actually come from having too dark of tint or booming your system too loud or having your exhaust too loud.

I didn't know a Mercury Mystique with a body kit could go that fast. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I drive a 2007 Pontiac G6. Son of ***** feels like it's going a lot slower than it really is. I was hitting 90 on the highway before he caught me and didn't even realize it.

I thought it was common sense. The faster you drive, the higher the RPM your engine running at in addition to the increased resistance with increased speed. It does vary from vehicle to vehicle. I've never been in a car that gets better gas mileage at 75-80 then it does at 60-65.

Basically you want to run the lowest RPM's you can in the highest gear (like 5th, 6th, OD) without constantly down shifting.

I have 4.10 gears and for me that speed is 55-60.

There's SOOOO many other variables, gas mileage is not just a direct function of wind resistance and engine speed.

I'd say engine speed and wind resistance are the two most determining factors. I am interested in learning what other factors there are.

dude I got a 410$ ticket for doing 81 in a 65 **** happens cops gotta make quota
I don't understand that last part...You were breaking the law yet you still think you received a ticket just because the cop had to meet his quota? Did you ever stop to think that he pulled over because you were speeding?

Yeah I definitely don't agree with that shit. DUI checkpoints are just as bad. Around here they don't stop every car in a checkpoint, they just keep waiving them through until they find someone they "suspect."

thats profiling like a bitch. here they only do it on not-so-busy roads, and every car stops and shows papers.
