Use Malware Bytes Antimalware or Hitman Pro. Its not a virus its malware thats causing the redirect. Either one of those things should clean everything up for you.

^^^^this. everyone assumes as soon as something out of the ordinary happens on their computer its automagically a virus, in truth there is is a lot less virus activity then there used to be and the ones that are active are harder to track and kill

i agree with all of the suggestions so far for ridding yourself of this malware and also suggest Safer-Networking's Spybot Search and Destroy. great basic feature set and if you are little more advanced it also has some terrific tools in the advanced mode.

Alright guys, thanks alot. When I attempted to search to see the problem "google redirect virus" came up, so thats what I called it. Anyways, Ill go ahead and try this malware bytes. Ill post up results. Maybe someone else will run into this and search here. Thanks again!

download combofix from Search Results for "bleepingcomputers.com"

run it

then run malwarebytes from malewarebytes.org

I downloaded and ran the free edition of malwarebytes. I ran it. 15 mins later, it found 13 items. Removed the items, rebooted, and it seems to be fine! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif

I use Microsoft Security Essentials, my friends who do IT and tech support for a voip company told me to use it. Its free if you have a legit copy of windows. You should never pay for an antivirus program.

i couldnt tell you the last time i paid for antivirus and antimalware software. three are just too many free ones i would rather use. i do recommend MS Essentials. it would be the ONLY MS software i would readily recommend though haha.
