Google Virus...FUUUUU

To avoid having to sign up for another forum, maybe theres someone on this one that can help me. I have "the google virus" on my laptop. Anytime I search anything on google, when I click on whatever result I want, it redirects me to a random site. Its usually a generic search engine site with searches that are related to what I typed in to look up on google.

Iv tried to search, but, as you may have figured...Its not the easiest thing for me to do at the moment. I figured out that if I open it in a new tab, close it, then open it in a new tab again, sometimes it will let me see the page I clicked on.

Any help from anyoe who has any info/exp this problem before??

Sounds surprizzzingly similar to the page redirect this irrustrious Folum just experienced....only thing missing is the required hair-trigger hitting of the big red "X"

But based on this, I'd suggest limiting your searches to pornograffiti....

@fannin88 I'm not the computer fixing type guy....I usually throw mine across the room and do something else. By the time, I come back its either working or its time for a new laptop...either way problem solved.

Get better virus protection. Then use it. Get superantispware. Then use it.

AVG, full system scan, clean what's found. SAS, full system scan, clean what's found. Take note of the virus/hijacker name in the report, look up specific cleaning instructions to make sure you get it all.

Use Malware Bytes Antimalware or Hitman Pro. Its not a virus its malware thats causing the redirect. Either one of those things should clean everything up for you.

Yep scan with malwarebytes, also go through and clear your cache/cookies as something might be infected.

Malware Bytes. Download it. If you can't, dl it somewhere else and put it on a flash drive. It will clean up anything you may have.
