good tl score?

I installed a 15" se in a cavalier ported.... got it metered yesterday, it did a 138 @ 36hz

Is that a pretty good score?

how much power? SE's are SQ-ish subs so a 138 isn't bad

i mean at that frequency aswell, i see people putting up high numbers at like 70 hz... hes running it w. a jl 500.1 so approx 600 rms?

150 is good, 145 is respectable. This is coming from a bass head though. Id say low 1 140s is probably the avg, DIY ported system if you know what your doing and have good to mediocre equipment.

Its an ok score..i kno a focus that did a 145@ apporx 45hz with a SX

I did a 151.1 with a single MTX 9500 10" ported...............

Also did a 144.7 on music with 3 10" Image Dynamic Overstocks ported with about 800wrms total......

I had my sx doin mid 140s on music....

I just didnt know if it was good to hit that high on that frequency on that power.

it was on music and my buddy doesnt really care about numbers, we just met someone w. a TL.

I was just wondering if that was a respectable score at that frequency.......I know most people are topping out at around 70 hz, I didnt know if hitting an ok number at the mid 30's was good or not....

Unless the owner wants to compete, or it simply isn't loud enough for him...who cares?

For some, a 130dB substage is plenty...others can't be satisfied with 150dB+ of noise.
