agreed, but the 2007 clubbers guide is a good place to start for someone who isnt into techno enough to know where to look.

I missed that part.....well, at least the lasers and thousands of horny teenage chicks. I never got into the drug part of it.

get your hands on the prodigy - their law: the singles 1990-92 - it's a classic. the prodigy were always kind of a joke here in the states but they are pretty much the single most influential group in dance music--the music they produced in these 3 years has heavily informed a multitude of styles of dance music--everything from house to trance to breakbeat to drum and bass. it's good stuff. also, daft punk is a must--homework is personally my favorite cd but a lot of people like discovery better--i personally find it too synthy and goofy but yeah...to each his own

I would agree with the Prodigy, as well. Give a listen to Bush's Deconstructed CD has some techno flavor to it.
