Good sub for limited wattage

infinity perfect hands down IMO. it has the highest sensitivity rating which is 92 db IIRC and has very very good SQ for the loudness it offers. or so i've read countless times..

If you get a Perfect put it in a large ported enclosure or it won't bee that loud with 200w.

I had one running off around 200w sealed and it wasn't enough. Added one and build a big box. Much louder, decent SQ... it'll do for now.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Infinity measures their speakers @ 2.83W/m, so the sensitivity ratings are correspondingly inflated. Take 3dB off their published ratings, and you get the "real" free-air number that can be compared with other manufacturers.

It's almost like using peak ratings, but a little more devious...

Actually, extremely cheap tube amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
$400 per watt is nothing....not when there are amps in the $5K-$6K range, easy.
Its pretty depressing actually... I want one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

They also measure in-car, not in "infinite space".....so those sensitivity measurements are extremely inflated.
