Good SQ amp

I know some of you say that an amp doesnt have SQ and that watts are watts. But I basically need to know: What's the best quality amp I can get for two EdO12.44's up to ~ $450 and a 4 chan amp for future CDT components (either those mispainted sale ones or the eurosports) up to ~ $200 dollars for that amp?

preferably I'd like both to be the same brand so they match lol. Also to have the sub amp be limited to 300 rms at 4 ohm (if I ever decide to go to local comps). Also I plan to have each in a 1.5 ft3 box so would that go along with the power recommendations stated on ed's web site?

I saw some good deals on orion amps on purecaraudio. How underrated are those? Are they? lol like if i got the XTRPRO 1000 what would that really push out at 1 ohm as well as the quality of the sound it pushes out.

You and I have very similar setups.... I already bought a pair of the CDT CL-61 comps (delivered yesterday), and I have a Ed 12K.44 on order, but changing it to the 12O.44 (for $45 bucks more, seems well worth it).

I am getting the USX2080 for the CDT's, and I am still deciding on an amp for the Ed...

If you are just looking for a single set of the CDT comps (not sure why you would want 2 pairs), than check out the USX....

i have a hifonics zx6400 for sale for about 180 and you can pick up a refurbed hifonics z1000d for the sub for $250 right now from the zeb.

hifonics zx6400

85x4 at 4 ohms

170x4 at 2 ohms

340x2 at 4 ohms bridged

subsonic filter

bass remote

i believe the hifonics z1000d puts out 1000w at 1 ohm and 250 watts at 4 ohms.

I'm gonna wait on my comps. but as far as amps go I'm seriously thinking about an orion one I hear only good things about them esp. for durability. And I was thinking of getting a USX4085 but it's out of stock now! I would go with a 1200-1400 watt amp for both because of the O's max rms but 1000 clean watts should suffice (and keeps me under 300 watts at 4ohm)
