Good quality CD-Rs...

What are some good quality (but cheap) CD-r's? Ive gotten a 100 pack of those realy cheap ones that are holigraphic on both sides the they royaly ****. I just finished up my roll of 'computer essentials' and there ok but im sure theres better out there?

like TDK's. Memorex sucks ***.

Try some TDK's and if you have a costco then get them there like 10$ cheaper.

The Memorex Black CD-R's have always worked pretty well for me.... They are for burning games, etc...

taiyo yoden makes the absolute best media out there. the best cdrs are made in japan. when youre in the store look for a little sticker on the back. if it says made in india or something ide stay away from it. a company called verbatim makes very good cdrs aswell. though not as good as the taiyo yoden brand.

if its just for music i say anything but the very cheapest disc will work great.

the brands i mentioned are what i use in my ps2. i have a modchip so i can burn games and play them. when doing this you have to use high quality media or your lazer will burn out very quickly.

there are also programs you can download that will scan the disc and tell you the quality of the disc.

if your getting bad burns with cheap media try turning down the recording speed.

I recently bought some Imation CD-Rs and they are so far the best blanks ive had, they are very durable.

taiyo yuden PhthaloCyanine (it's all about the ink) and for a 100 pack at $35 bucks why waste your time with anything else. Mitsui gold are the best bar none but they are also twice as expensive.

As for the others mentioned they are only rebranded discs made by one of the 10 main cd manufacturers in the world, one of which happens to be taiyo. If you would by a prifile amp for your own personal system then get the others. If you are looking for something better get the taiyo's.

the ones with a black bottom are the best. they reflect better and gives the laser the best read out. i have compared them with the reg ones and the back ones have better sound quality and dont skip as much if they do at all.

Ive used memorex and maxell and they both work real good.

Ive only had bad experience with cheap off brand ones

the black-bottoms do not work better than the Philips cd-r's in my car. ill burn a CD using the back bottom memorex and the alpine 7995 of mine will read them fine.. for a couple of days. the philips seem to last me about a month or two.. i think i need a new head unit or a super quality batch of CD-Rs?

The only ones i`ve ever had good results with are sony and tdk`s,but i`m going to have to check out fugi.
