good price?

my friend has a 15" jl w3v2 that he has had for awhile but it wont fit in his stang so he is just trying to get rid of it, it works perfect and looks good, ive heard it, he wants to sell for $80 would that be a good price, and if i got it, could i use my 1501bd rockford amp to power it, and i would build a box, so box recomendations would be nice too

That is an extremely good price.. With that amp you probably want to hope it is a dual 2 ohm woofer so you can wire it in series and get a 4 ohm load which from that amp would give about 750 watts... even if it is a dual 4 ohm, you can wire in parallel and get 2 ohms and have 1500watts going to it. If you do that, be careful on the gains. As far as boxes go, check out JL's site, they will have recommended box sizes.
