Well, that will handle pretty much any game out there ...

is that pretty descent? IThe only reason i wanted to order direct from HP was just for the 512 MB geforce card, but didnt wanna drop an extra 300 from ordering direct just for that card anda better processor.. What would happen if a game that needed more power or whatever they need to play clean? slow down ? choppieness?

Framerate would drop, causing a visual slowdown if severe and possibly choppiness.
However, the GeForce Go 7600 is a very decent card, so you should be able to play like ~90% of newer games on the market at maximum settings and even tougher games like Oblvion or F.E.A.R. at medium-high settings with no problems ...

As for the settings, im assuming i set them up in the on screen game options?

Ever since they stopped requiring you to manually set IRQs, DMAs, and I/O ports for your sound card games have been autoconfiguring their detail levels to suit your PC. Not something to worry about anymore.
