Looking for a few games to throw on my laptop just for a little something different.. Something kind of fun but not to difficult, im not to smart ya know..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And do the playstion style controllers work with most of the games or is it a pain to setup the controls.. I was looking at Full auto 2 , looks pretty cool.

i bought graw a couple weeks ago, but haven't had much time to really sit down and play it. but the little bit i've played is pretty cool. only downside is you gotta have a pretty good system to play it.

I liked WoW and all the NFS series... =] The last NFS is soooo sweet.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ad CoD2 was great.... and one I didnt expect to be that good but was, was Star Wars Republic Commando

for a laptop on the move, i'd recommend picking up hoyle card games

really addicting

in the sytem properties under the "general" tab you change the computer name.

NFS is cool, like i said tho im a lil slow when it comes to computer gaming so i think WoW might be outta the question //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Call of duty 3 and half life 2 would be nice to look at but i dont no if my computer will run it without no problems .. heres my specs

Intel core 2 duo T5500 (1.66 Ghz, 2 MB L2 casche 667 MHz FSB )

2048MB DDr2 Ram

My sugguestions

Decade of Command & Conquer set

Total Annihilation

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms

Sacred

American McGee's Alice

DOOM Collectors Edition

one more thing before i crash.... with respect to the original post, and the comments on trying to use a ps2-style controller for games....

i too, have tried time and time again to get games working effortlessly with a console-style controller on my computer

it's next to impossible, tho.....

i don't know why pc-game coders feel the need to have 30-50-8,000 different buttons to control the game, when console games can get away with using 10-12 or something like that.

not to mention, for some reason, no matter how high-quality your gaming device is, pc gaming controllers have a hard time staying calibrated. most of the time, i'll have to re-calibrate my analog controls between games.

i too dream of a day when computer game designers make pc-games more suitable for console style controllers, so i can sit on my recliner and play some cs, or hl2 while kicking back and relaxing, far from my keyboard and mouse.

untill that day, mame, or other console emulators are the way to go for console-controllers.

last year, my and my roomates hooked up my computer to the tv in the livingroom and were playing 4-player arcade games on mame with 4 ps2 controllers hooked up to the comp with those $5 radio shack ps2-usb adapters.

probably the most fun i've had playing video games in a long long long time....

4 player turtles, simpons, xmen, alien vs. predator, battletoads...... awesome times
