I'm looking for a good lowering kit for my 02 sentra spec-v that would lower 2, maybe 3" max. what are some good brands that won't sacrifice ride quaity. thanks in advance.

You looking to go cheap with a set of springs that will run you a couple hundred or looking to get coilovers for max drop?

Springs will prob get you up to 2.5" but a lot of people end up wanting more and going with coilovers down the road.

I have used Tanabe and Tein on my Scion both worked great, you are going to notice a ride change with any drop tho.

they're a lowering tool that you basically just put under your tires. you're guaranteed at least a one inch drop... if not more, depending on your sidewall.

Is comfort important to you? How long do you plan to keep the car? These are actually a deciding factor when choosing a suspension. You may desire harder springs now for increased handling, but when the novelty wears off you will want a change. I suggest coilovers from the start as they offer matched struts for the applicaton. Teins are some of the more comfortable ones for your car,

The only real way not to sacrifice ride quality is to go with a shock/spring combo or kit. The best option IMO is to go with the Nismo Shock/Spring kit which will cost around $900. Another option would be the Eibach Pro-Kit with Koni shocks, which will cost about the same. For the same money, you could get the KSport coilovers, but from what I read, they don't ride well at all.

There isn't a cheap way to lower this car without sacrificing ride quality. I've got Tein S-techs on mine and the ride is shit. It's so bad that I ordered the stock springs with KYB GR2 shocks about a month ago.

Aftermarket support for this car isn't the greatest. Take a look at how much support Honda/Acura, DSMs, or SRT-4s have, then look back at the b15 and you'll see what I mean.
