Good location for block to chassis?

I know this/these questions get asked all the time, but idc. I finally bought some wire and upgraded my ground and alt to battery, but havent done the chassis to block yet.

found this when I removed the heat shield. if I stick a bolt in it, think this would work as a good location?

thanks in advance.

It will work.. but there might be better places if you keep looking.

A few things to consider when choosing your ground locations.

1. Try to find a spot to ground where it is STEEL (such as the actual crank case (block) instead of Aluminum like most of the valve covers or brackets.

2. Try to stay away from extreme areas where high heat could become an issue such as near exhaust manifolds.

3. Use a bare metal screw or bolt, not black coated. Also try to use similar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion. I like to use flanged bolts when possible or add washers when necessary.

4. Keep in mind that shorter ground runs are better than longer ones.

5. I always apply a generous amount of dielectric grease to contact area of grounding location as well as the bolt. This also helps keep corrosion down to a minimum and maintains good conductivity.

6. Don't be afraid to tap threads when necessary.

Will do. Thought I might have gotten lucky with that hole //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
