good hip hop/rap muisic

hey all,

I am looking for some good hip hop/rap music for my new system. I don't like the real gangsta rap music like lil john and such. I like listening to t-pain (Im in love with a stripper and I'm sprung). Is there any other rap music similar to t-pain? I just want some chill music.

What about some older stuff like A Tribe Called Quest or Camp Lo? Or are you looking specifically for new stuff? Bubba sparx has some good stuff out, david banner as well.....

The only thing Lil Jon says is "Yeah". Some of my favorite easy listening rap is by: Black Eyed Peas, Blackstar, A Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian, Common, Kanye West, Ludacris, The Roots, Slum Village, and Talib Kweli. Some are old groups, some are new, but all are pretty good IMO. Let me kn ow what you think.

pretty rikky(dont know if i spelled that right) has some decent stuff surprisingly.... Grind With Me, and Grill Em are two good songs with nice bass...

those are chill... nothing gangster at all really about it.. just has some nice bass... nothing too hard though

There are a lot of good underground groups from Minnesota that have pretty chill hip-hop.

Atmosphere, Eyedea&Abilities and Brother Ali come to mind for me...

Common, old Black Eyed Peas, Talib Kweli, DJ Qwik (Spelling might be wrong).

There's one more that has a song that I can't think of right now but when I do I'll put it on. It's a wierd song because the bass doesn't sound very loud but it hurts your chest and affects breathing more than any other song I've ever heard.
