good head unit

I'm looking at installing 2 12" subs in my pickup, if they'll fit, first though I wanna get a new head unit. I'm not sure wat's a good one to get, I am just looking right now but once i get the money i'm gonna buy one. I want one that i will be able to play an mp3 player w/, prob a zune or ipod (not sure which, yet) I don't want or need a fold out screen or one that can play DVD's. I would like one though that has a nice read-out or display. any and all help is appreciated (new to audio systems) thanks in advance
