Good GPS for $100

garmin. the 205 is goin on sale friday, but it has turn by turn speech. the garmin 255w has text to speech. what ur looking for. again, friday its 129. tom tom isnt anything, and u have to pay for their features. they dont get map updates, for free anyway, unless they changed it. and u have to pay to get the traffic updates and whatnot, and by the time u do it, u might as well has have just gotten garmin. besides, u dont see tom tom having a phone, and kenwood uses garmin for the built in gps, tom tom isnt doin that. theres alot to be said for it. go with garmin, ull be happy

Thank you guys have been really helpful. Right now I'm looking at the Garmin 255W and I see it's going to be on sale a lot of places for $119 on black friday. Hopefully I can find one and get it. If you have any suggestions on something better I'd be glad to hear.

120 for a 255w is a **** good price. I sold GPS's for almost 2 yrs at best buy and the 255/260w was always my fav.

I was looking at the garmin 265 wt, the 255w, 205w and the tom tom 340s..

The tomtom seems to have more options, ( text to speech the garmin 205 and 255 do not have , and lane guidance which is nice for heavy multilane traffic.. Also was the highest rated of them all

Also the tomtom340s is 249, reg price , but is $97 at target tomorrow for BF

205W @ BB for 99 (I have a 200W and its worth every cheap penny! Just upgraded to the 2010.30 maps for free. THANKS GARMIN!)

Hey I'm looking for a gps for my car for around $100. Any suggestions?

I have a nice magellin maestro 3100 with all the accesories id sell ya for teh cheeps. I like it more than any other gps ive had inlcuding $500+ units. It takes SD cards so you can upload all kinds of info and it can be hacked to all kinds of neat stuff.
