hi i bought some "Ridata" cdrw the other day hoping they would be amazing but they sucked big tiems.. i have to record like 3 times for it to work and my alpine hu still starts skipping MP3s with it...

what media do you guys recommend me using?

some brands i can find it easy here are Maxell, TDK, Nipponic, LG and Sony... are there other good ones that are trouble free?

my hu never skipped with Nipponic but they surround of it is too irregular and sharpy and it seems not to last too long, im seeing some parts of the cd unglueing...

i havent had much luck with Maxell CDRWs either... plz help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I've had good experience with Fujifilm, Sony, TDK, Verbatim, Memorex, and even a few of those 100 packs with no brand name on them

oh by the way, for music CD's, by CD-R's, not CD-RW's

I bought a 100 pack of these and I have had no reliability issues with them at all.

My current ream of blanks are Verbatims. They were on sale B1/G1 on 100-CD reams and the reams were priced at $17.99. $18+tax for 200 blanks is tought to beat, I'd say. Normally I use Maxells or TDKs but I've used Verbatim in the past without issue and for that price I couldn't pass 'em up.

I usually only buy what's in the rebate ads at Office Max, Radio Shack -- wherever. I usually get them for free. Right now I have Ridata and Memorex and both work fine.

FWIW - a year or so ago I was watching one of those tech shows on TLC, or Discovery, or one of those channels and the dude was reviewing different CD types.

He said the differences from brand to brand are so minimal it makes no difference whether you buy the cheapest ones on the rack or the highest. Burn/read performance is the same.

this is far from the truth //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif . im not saying really cheap media from with die from india wont burn or wont sound good but there is a difference in cheap and quality media.
